Bio
Alley Leong was born in Macau,China, 1996. She grew up struggling to fit into society's ideology of "normalcy" as a mother , cultivators with a significant limb difference..


In her early 20's. After working as a professional tattoo artist for six years, Alley decided to stop working in tattooing. Since then, she has followed her passion and pursued a full-time career as a painter.


Alley works feature the common element of an original lady character becoming aware of the thoughts, habits, beliefs, and actions that are working together every day to create her world. She makes colorful , fanatical  painting about myth stories and more than human world. She uses diverse images of women ,different faces and role plays to experience variety and describe the process of self-exploration.  Her exploration of color and energy also connects her to current discussions around the sensory and emotional dimensions of art.

 

The bindi from “The Lady Wears Bindi” means bright spots are regarded as the essence of vitality, and the place between the forehead is where the third human eye is located. Unlike the other two exposed eyes, the third eye is the eye for inner vision, and the shape of an auspicious mole helps people accumulate energy and receive message from the universe.

Alley's creative process is to record every moment of her observes changes in her mind appearance during everyday practice.
